BBC Sussex is the BBC Local Radio service for the English county of Sussex. It began on 14 February 1968 as BBC Radio Brighton, later becoming BBC Radio Sussex and then part of BBC Southern Counties Radio, before adopting its present name on 30 March 2009. BBC journalists Jeremy Paxman, Kate Adie and Des Lynam started their careers at BBC Brighton.
Wey Valley Radio is all about life in our beautiful part of Hampshire.
We are a 24 hour community-driven radio station for Alton and the surrounding areas, with local presenters and a huge variety of music and local information.
Our daytime presenters feature local news and events, with regular guests talking about anything and everything that’s important in our area. We can also be found out and about at local events doing chatting live on our to the movers and shakers who are making things happen in our community.
You can find a truly eclectic mix on our evening shows, with presenters who are passionate about everything from folk and rock, to football and movies. Our evening shows regularly have guest bands playing live.
The station is entirely run by volunteers, and there are always opportunities to get involved either behind the scenes or presenting on air. Just get in touch!
